Welcome!

Arjuna is a multi-departmental CPU and GPU computing cluster. Here you can find documentation about what Arjuna is and how to use it.

User Accounts

See User Accounts for information about user accounts. Common requests (New User, Forgot Password) are handled by creating an issue.

Support

If you encounter an issue using Arjuna, please open an issue and let us know. We will do our best to get it sorted out. Be sure to checkout our Getting Started guide for help with common tasks.

Acknowledgement in Publications

All publications resulting from the usage of Arjuna should include an acknowledgement. We recommend the following text:

The computational portion of this work was performed on the Arjuna computer cluster, which was funded through Carnegie Mellon College of Engineering and the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

Maintenance

Arjuna will be taken offline for periodic updates, maintenance, and upgrades. We will provide at least two week’s notice via the list-serve and via the login message on Arjuna.

  • Summary of Planned Activities
  • Expected Duration
  • Mitigation steps (if any) users may need to take

We intend to keep Arjuna up for as much time as possible. However, planned periodic downtime for maintenance will likely improve total uptime and user experience by catching and fixing issues before they become disruptive.

Emails from the Admin Team

The Arjuna List Serve is used to provide important information regarding planned maintenance, service interruptions or changes in policy. Users are strongly encouraged to subscribe to avoid missing out on critical information.

Automated emails regarding disk usage, user accounts and other administrative issues are sent by root@coe.psc.edu. Some email provided may mark these emails as spam. Users should configure their email client to prevent this.

Contributing

Thank you for wanting to contribute to Arjuna’s Documentation! We recommend you first open an issue, but welcome pull requests to improve our documentation.
